This winter, we’re working with partners to make sure no one feels alone or unsupported. From free food hubs to mental health drop-ins and festive activities for families, here’s how we’re supporting our communities.

Food support 

We’re making it easier for households to access healthy food: 

Ealing 
  • Green Man Lane Food Hub – Free surplus food. Green Man Lane, Singapore Road, Ealing, W13 0EP. Tuesdays, 2pm–3.30pm. Last session: 16 December. Restarts: 9 January. 

  • Felix Fresh Food Market – Green Man Lane, Singapore Road, Ealing, W13 0EP (outdoors). Every 3 weeks on Fridays, 2pm–3.30pm. Last session: 5 December. Restarts: 16 January. 

  • Havelock Children’s Centre Food Hub – 17 Trubshaw Road, Southall, UB2 4XW. Wednesdays from 4pm. Open 24 and 31 December. 

  • Lido Centre Food Hub – Lido Centre, 63 Mattock Lane, London, W13 9LA. Thursdays, 10am–3pm. Last session: 18 December. Restarts: 8 January. 

Westminster 
  • Beethoven Centre Food Hub – Beethoven Centre, Third Avenue, London, W10 4JL. 16 and 23 December, 3pm–6pm. Restarts: 8 January. 

Hounslow 
  • Beavers Children’s Centre Food Hub – 103 Salisbury Road, Hounslow, TW4 7NW. 17 December, 12 noon–2pm. Restarts: 7 January. 

  • Clayponds Community Centre Food Hub – 168 Clayponds Gardens, London, W5 4RQ. Tuesdays, 1.30pm–2.30pm. Open 23 and 31 December. 

Chichester 
  • Food Hub – Swanfield Park Community Centre, Chichester, PO19 6GH. Thursdays, 2pm–3pm. Last session: 11 December. Restarts: 8 January. 

Wellbeing services 

Mental health support is available every day: 

  • Safe Space, Mind Ealing – Drop-in mental health support for adults 18+. Lido Centre, 63 Mattock Lane, W13 9LA. 2pm–10pm daily, 365 days a year. Phone: 0207 471 0583.

Festive activities 

Celebrate the season with fun for all ages: 

  • Open Mic Night – Mahaba Café, Ealing, 18 December, 7pm–9.30pm. 

  • Christmas Programme (ages 8–15) – Havelock Community Centre and Mahaba Café, 22–24 December. 

  • Santa’s Grotto – Swanfield Community Centre, Chichester, 11 December (booking required). 

  • Family Crafting and Forest School – Elmsbrook, Bicester, 7 and 13 December.
